Abstract Beyond cell-cell contact, communication at a distance requires the secretion of cytokines that bind to specific receptors on responsive cells. Interleukin (IL)-9 is cytokine with pleiotropic effects not only immune cells contribute progression tumor and autoimmunity, but also structural including airway intestinal epithelial involved in development inflammatory allergic diseases. Typically, IL-9 receptor (IL-9R) functions as complex two subunits – α-chain (IL-9Rα) common γ (γc) chain, shared other receptors. Although express IL-9Rα, they lack expression γc chain.
